Welcome! Silkyville kennel is registered since October 2005. We breed Australian Silky terrier. These cute dogs are "toy terriers", they are very playful and they love to be pampered. For more information about the origin of the breed and its standard, please, visit the breed page.

The purpose of this web-site is introducing our visitors to the breed which is rather rare in Europe - and even more rare in the Republic of Croatia. People usually mistake this breed for Yorkshire terrier, but there are differences. Silkies are slightly bigger than Yorkies, but they are bigger coddles.

Even though we still have no photos of our dogs in year 2008 gallery, we created a year 2009 gallery which now has some of the photos taken this year. We will start filling up gallery 2008 now, so be sure to come back in a few days. Also, we added 2 new wallpapers for your desktop. They are in widescreen resolution. We also forgot to update news for our english version of the website, for which we apologize. Litter 2007 gallery is completed. We have added 3 pages of photos, so be sure to check those out as well.

In the light of recent activity. We have started uploading other photos as well. Again, "Random" gallery got another album. This one contains photos from Silky symposium in Fužine on 8th June 2007. Interested? Take a peek right here. Also, we've finally added litter 2007 photos. 1 album with more than a hundred photos of pups in their 1st month. Other photos will be uploaded in a couple of days.

13th October 2008

After long long time, we've finally added about 30 photos from today's visit of Marsi, Hector and Hana. We were very happy to see them all and hope they enjoyed their visit. The photos have been stored in the Gallery 2 of the Random section of our photogallery. Here's a quick link for you.

Silkyville website layout changed. Hopefully this white background will be gentle on your eyes, unlike the dark one. We also changed the way you're going to browse galleries now. In order to try and shorten the time you spend waiting for all the thumbnails to load, we reduced the number of pictures per page, and separated pictures in groups. Please keep in mind that all thumbnails need to load first and then you won't have problem with waiting for the bigger pictures to load.

We have added last photos in the litter 2006 gallery. As of now, the only remaining member of that litter, Severus, will have his photos stored in Adults gallery.
